Making Your Own String Wax... made easy!
The first things you will need are:
1)..2 Pounds of Pure beeswax. (can be bought online or from any of the roadside people selling honey)
2)..1 Wax Toilet Bowl Ring
3)..A cooking pot or aluminum foil pan. (Capable of holding 6 quarts-Min)
4)..Baking cups for cupcakes - get the smallest size you can find!
5)..Ladel or large spoon.
6)..Heat Source (Stove, gas grill, camp stove etc.)
Place the beeswax and the Toilet Bowl ring in the pan and place on the stove( Heat source)
Slowly heat the wax up until it is entirely melted. At this time I usually put in a Tbsp. of honey. (Optional)
I place my baking cups on old newspapers in case I spill any of the wax when pouring it into the cups.
Slowly pour the wax into the cups and let them cool. The wax can be left in the cups or remove the cups at any time..(before using on your bowstring)
